“Diarntarach” ceremony was held in Buenos Aires

On Friday February 27 at night hundreds of people came to St. Gregory The Illuminator Cathedral to attend the ceremony of “Diarntarach”, a traditional Armenian rite currently devoted to bless the newly married couples.11018828_862359133822901_5971957355234388026_n

Kissag Archbishop Mouradian, Primate of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Argentina and Chile blessed young couples with the Archimandrite Maghakia Amirian and Father Mesrob Nazarian.

Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Argentina, Alexan Harutiunian, the consul Esther Mkrtumyan, the Board of the Armenian Center of Argentina and representatives of Armenian institutions were presents.

Subsequently performed on the adjoining yard the traditional campfire that characterizes this celebration, and the Armenian Folkloric Dance Group “Masis” deployed part of his repertoire around the fire, receiving a standing ovation.

Finally families enjoyed the Armenian buffet that was served and the performance of the musical group “Nor Arax”.
