Last Saturday March 14, was held in Buenos Aires the “Gastronomic Feast of Communities”, a huge fair with over a hundred gastronomic posts of different communities. Thousands of people enjoyed the event, where also took place the election of “Queen of the Communities”, in which the candidate of the Armenian community, Anush Hovagimian, was honored as “fist princess”. As “queen” was elected the representative of the Croatian community.
During the afternoon various artistic and musical numbers were played on the stage mounted on the “Avenida de Mayo” avenue.
The crowd could taste the typical dishes of the Armenian community, present with two stands, holding up a large banner with the “Forget Me Not” flower, accompanying the message of “Remember and Demand” on the centennial of the Armenian Genocide.
In the official ceremony were present the Secretary of Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism of the City of Buenos Aires, Claudio Avruj, the Director General of Communities, Julio Croci, and Juan Sarrafian, president of the Argentina Federation of Communities and director of the Armenian Center of Argentina.
