he opening ceremony of the first period of Ari Tun (“Come Home”) progam took place today.
In the framework of this program, 1100 young Armenians from Diaspora are to visit Armenia in 2016.
The program will consist of 8 periods and run from June 13 until August 27. Ari Tun will include a four-day stay at summer camp organized in Tsaghkadzor.
“Dear youth, your dream has come true. You are taking part in a program, which has 7 years of history already. The program attracts and excites our young people, and helps them get to know Armenia, love their motherland and return again,” said Armenia Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan.
She attached importance to the support that Ari Tun program receives from Armenian Ministries, as well as organizations in marzes and villages.
The participants of the first period of the program are 42 boys and girls, 20 of them being Armenian migrants from Syria, and other 22 participants are from Russia, Belarus, Turkmenistan and USA.
