His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, has condemned the Sri Lanka attacks.
“We were deeply saddened by the reports on terrorist acts in the Sri Lanka Catholic churches during the Feast of Holy Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, killing hundreds of innocent people and leaving many injured,” His Holiness Karekin II said.
“We express support to our Christian brothers and sisters and strongly condemn the terrorist attacks committed during this most important Christian holiday,” the Catholicos said.
At the same time he called on the Sri Lanka authorities and international structures to take all necessary measures to eradicate deadly crimes committed on the basis of religious intolerance and hatred.
